U of W adds nine Indigenous faculty members

The University of Winnipeg is touting a “cluster hire” of new Indigenous faculty members as evidence of the institution’s ongoing commitment to reconciliation. On Thursday, U of W announced the addition of nine academics across the faculties of arts, science, kinesiology, education, business and economic and in the Global College. “These appointments will contribute to Indigenous excellence across the university’s faculties and strengthen our collective commitment to fostering a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion,” Pavlina Radia, provost and vice-president, academic, said in a news release.
